NEW DOG RESCUE CHARITY LAUNCHED

A new dog rescue charity has launched that not only aims to provide care and support to dogs in need, but also raise enough money to build their own rescue centre in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, near Cleobury Mortimer.

The Wild Kind Dog Rescue helps dogs throughout the UK as well as Bosnia and are looking to individuals and businesses to get involved through donating, fostering and adopting the dogs in their care.

The registered charity’s vision is to do things in a slightly different way, putting the dog’s needs and care at the heart of everything they do, treating each dog as an individual and acting as a ‘matchmaker’ so that every dog finds the best forever home.

As well as fundraising to support the rescue of dogs, The Wild Kind Dog Rescue has also secured a plot of land, Wild Meadow, and is seeking help to build ‘Project Home’ a home-style based rescue facility between Worcestershire and Shropshire that will be a safe, calm and loving space for dogs.

The charity is aiming to raise £15,000 during Phase 1.  Planning and design is well under way and as well as seeking financial support to help build the centre,  they are also encouraging any local tradespeople who would like to volunteer to lend a hand once the build starts.

The Wild Kind Dog Rescue has launched The Wild Hearts Club, which offers membership for a monthly donation. Alongside this, the charity is also looking for corporate support.

Drea Hinton, Founder of The Wild Kind Dog Rescue said; “Having worked alongside dog rescues over the past seven years, it was time to use my passion for dogs and experience to launch our own rescue charity and help as many dogs in need, as possible.

“We have big plans and have now launched a major fundraising campaign to help make our vision of a new rescue centre a reality.  People and businesses can donate in lots of ways; from a one-off contribution to regular giving, gift membership and corporate support.  Each and every penny will go towards making the lives of our rescue dogs a lot better.

Drea concluded; “It is a privilege to see dogs flourish and get the love and care they deserve and as well as re-homing them we want to provide information and support to break down some of the barriers and myths about rescuing dogs, expand our network of fosterers and encourage people to adopt rescues. They each have their own personalities, just like humans and with patience and love, they can thrive and live their best life, as they should”.

For anyone who would like to  find out more, make a donation, register to become a fosterer, adopt a dog or provide corporate support, please visit www.thewildkinddogrescue.org.
