Celebrating Oak Park Active Living Centre’s 10th Anniversary
Walsall Council is inviting residents to celebrate 10 years of Oak Park Active Living Centre in Walsall with a free Family Circus Extravaganza on Sunday 16 August 2026.
Taking place from 12pm to 3pm, the event will mark a decade since the centre opened and bring families together for an afternoon of entertainment, active fun and circus-themed activities.
Since launching ten years ago, Oak Park Active Living Centre has established itself as a vital community hub, enabling residents of all ages to enhance their health and wellbeing, Together with Bloxwich Active Living Centre, which is also celebrating its 10th anniversary, both facilities have recorded over 9 million total visits and more than 1 million gym sessions.
Tickets are priced at £6 per child, which includes full access to a bouncy castle, a magician, balloon modelling, circus games, fancy dress, and a mini disco hosted by JD Sounds. To help them get into the circus spirit, every child attending will also receive a free glitter tattoo and mask. Parental supervision is required throughout the event.

“Over the last 10 years, it has become so much more than a leisure centre, it’s a place where lifelong health and fitness habits begin and are nurtured. This celebration is a lovely chance to thank our residents for making the centre such a success, and I can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the fun, so come along and enjoy the activities that the team has put together for you all.”
A wide range of themed refreshments will be available to purchase from the centre’s coffee shop throughout the afternoon, including hot dogs, popcorn, candy floss, cakes, and cold drinks.
