Darlaston clothing firm’s aggressive growth plans and £50 million revenue target

A DARLASTON clothing firm is targetting domestic and international expansion and new job creation as it bids to hit £50 million revenue within five years.
Inteblu is a specialist in high-quality and affordable garments, based in a 5,000 square foot warehouse in Queen Street.
It employs around 20 workers across design, logistics and customer service, having invested around £500,000 in the site.
Now, it has set its sights on aggressive growth both in the United Kingdom and beyond, including a new warehouse in Germany and expanding in the United States of America market.
Jasim Uddin, managing director of Inteblu, said: “We started with Inteblu in 2020 after I had previously spent 17 years making clothes for different brands and retailers, including contracts with the UK government and supplying trousers to the police force.
“We have an excellent operation in Darlaston that is going from strength to strength, and I am excited to see how far we can grow.  “We are confident we can continue to grow the business in the UK, and we have big plans in other countries too. We’ve set up a warehouse in Munich, Germany, and are looking to increase our sales in the USA.
“I have set a target of £1 million revenue within the next year and £50 million in the next five years.   “There’s a huge appetite for online clothing and there’s no reason we can’t achieve what we want to achieve and more.”
Inteblu was created in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim of combining style and affordability to produce quality clothing.
It offers a range of loungewear, nightwear, menswear and womenswear designed in UK and manufactured in Bangladesh at own facilities.
Mr Uddin has been involved in textiles since 2007 and brought a wealth of experience to Inteblu, having previously led the number one pyjama wear firm in Bangladesh.
Now he has set his sights on aggressive growth, with the goal of creating more jobs and expanding operations.
He added: “Over the next year, we will invest more than half a million pounds, expand the team and launch around 600 new styles.
“If we are able to grow our sales as planned, I want to expand our warehouse in Darlaston and recruit more people in design, manufacturing and transportation.
“The coming months are the busiest time of the year for clothing sales and we are working hard on bringing more styles to our customers.”
