Pop the corks! Where to celebrate National Prosecco Day

National Prosecco Day is here this week, so naturally we’ve hunted down the best local fizz deals – £5 Prosecco, half-price bottles, 99p glasses and even FREE fizz. We’ll drink to that.

Calling all fizz fans! Did someone say National Prosecco Day? Yes they did… and it’s this week, on Thurs 13 Aug, which sounds like an excellent excuse for a little midweek tipple. Even better? We’ve found the places across Warwickshire and the West Midlands to celebrate, whether you fancy making a proper occasion of it, bagging a bargain glass for 99p or – jackpot! – sipping your fizz for FREE. As there’s a national day dedicated to Prosecco, it would be rude not to…

The Chameleon, Birmingham

Say hello to actual Prosecco Thursday with half-price bottles of Prosecco, so get the girls together and add some extra sparkle to your week – all you need to do is order a bottle and let the weekend start early. There’s also 2-for-1 cocktails from 5pm until midnight if prosecco simply isn’t enough!

The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham

If your idea of Prosecco heaven involves a cocktail rather than a straight glass of fizz, The Old Joint Stock, in Birmingham, is the place to head. The beautiful Grade II listed pub and theatre is offering two-for-one cocktails for National Prosecco Day, with Prosecco-based favourites including Aperol Spritz, Hugo Spritz, Campari Spritz, Passion Fruit Spritz and Peach Spritz. So, basically, all the ingredients for a “just one after work” that somehow turns into dinner.

Bella Italia, Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Walsall

And finally, the bargain of the bunch, Bella Italia, is serving 125ml glasses of Prosecco for just 99p from 11–13 August when you order a main meal. Yes, 99p. That’s less than a packet of crisps! There are branches around the West Mids, so this is an easy one to rock up to if the moment takes your fancy. And at that price, we’re not saying you should order another glass, but…
