Pay tribute to loved ones at Compton Care’s Garden of Reflection event
Specialist palliative and bereavement support provider, Compton Care, is holding a special event in their Garden of Reflection at its Compton Hall site to give local people the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
The Garden is a beautiful, tranquil space for patients, families and visitors to spend quiet moments of reflection. It is also home to a dedicated Memory Wall on which Locks and Charms can be displayed in tribute to loved ones.
The charity’s Garden of Reflection Celebration is a heartfelt gathering for supporters. The event takes place on Sunday, 12 July, at midday and guests are invited to take in the peaceful surroundings, reflect and remember with poems and blessings, and enjoy refreshments on the lawn.
Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic or can pre-order afternoon tea prepared by Crumbles Coffee House and Deli.
Jo Till, from Compton Care, said: “This special event offers a truly serene and meaningful space for people to pause, reflect and remember loved ones who remain close to their hearts. We know how important it is to have opportunities like this, to take time out, honour cherished memories, and feel connected to those we have lost. It is also a chance for people to come together with others who are on similar journeys of remembrance, to share quiet moments of reflection and to take comfort in the beautiful, tranquil surroundings of our gardens.
Our ‘Hearts to Hold’ collection of Memory Locks and Memory Charms offers a lasting and deeply personal tribute. Each dedication not only honours someone special, but also helps us to continue delivering the compassionate, specialist care that so many people in our community rely on every day.
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support we receive and are very much looking forward to warmly welcoming both new supporters and those who return to Compton year after year. Together, we can celebrate lives, share memories, and ensure that vital care continues for those who need it most.”
Hearts to Hold Memory Locks and Charms can be engraved with the name of a loved one and displayed on the dedicated wall within the Garden of Reflection as a meaningful tribute or kept as a special keepsake. Charms are available for a minimum £30 donation and Locks for £60, which are placed in the garden for one year. All funds raised will contribute to the specialist care Compton Care provides to patients living with life limiting conditions and support for their families.
