One week countdown to one of the Black Country’s biggest job fairs
Hundreds of people looking for their next training or employment opportunity will be heading to Walsall College next week for one of the biggest job fairs in the Black Country.
Walsall Works Job and Skills Expo will take place on Thursday 19 March, from 9am – 3pm at The Hub at Walsall College, Littleton Street, WS2 8ES.

Councillor Mark Statham, Portfolio Holder for Children’s, Families and Lifelong Learning at Walsall Council, said, “The countdown is officially on for the brilliant Walsall Works Expo. Running for its eleventh year, the event connects hundreds of people with local employment and training options.
Bookings can still be made so come along and find your next opportunity.”

The event is hosted by Walsall Works, an award-winning initiative funded by Walsall Council which supports the regional West Midlands Works Plan set out by West Midlands Combined Authority. The plan aims to increase employment to 75% of the working-age population in the region, addressing unemployment caused by long-term sickness and inactivity. Walsall Works is also offering paid placement opportunities for 18-21-year-olds in Walsall as part of the West Midlands Youth Trailblazer programme.
