Moseley Old Hall Hosts Living History Weekend This Weekend
Moseley Old Hall is inviting visitors to step back in time with a Living History Weekend on 6 and 7 September. Join the Sealed Knot for The King’s Escape and explore what life was like in 17th-century England.
The weekend brings to life the story of King Charles II’s escape following his defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Visitors can see musket and pike drills, meet soldiers and civilians, hear drums, and discover the everyday lives of people living at the time. Activities include living history displays of camp life, crafts and clothing, children’s drills and interactive activities, and stories about Charles II’s daring escape.
Tracy Williams, General Manager at Moseley Old Hall, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome visitors to this Living History Weekend. It’s a wonderful chance to experience history in action, enjoy the atmosphere of the 17th century, and learn more about the events that shaped our nation. It promises to be a memorable day out for families and history lovers alike.”
Normal admission applies and no booking is required. Moseley Old Hall is part of the National Trust, dedicated to preserving and sharing England’s heritage.
