Woodsetton Litter Pickers are Cleaning Up

Groups across the Dudley borough are being formed to tackle the problem of litter.

In the north of the borough Woodsetton Litter Pickers and Community Group  – formed in 2021 – is doing great work in keeping the streets clean.

The volunteer group organises monthly Sunday and evening picks across the area.

In neighbouring Coseley, the Coseley Pickers have concentrated efforts on Roseville High Street, car parks and local parks,

In Sedgley there is a small group, operating for more than five years, that tackles streets around the village centre and Sedgley Beacon on Sunday mornings through the year.

Anyone interested in getting involved in litter picking on a solo basis can obtain a litter picker, high viz vest and a supply of bags from Dudley Council.

You need to e-mail street.cleaning@dudley.gov.uk

Dudley Borough Litter Busters is supported by the council and organises group litter picks at problem spots across the borough.

Both the Woodsetton and Coseley groups have Facebook pages detailing their activities.
