Michael Gray returns to Coventry for special 20-year hair industry celebration at Coventry Cathedral
Celebrity hairstylist and educator Michael Gray will return to Coventry on 31st May to celebrate 20 years in the hair industry with a special live masterclass event at Coventry Cathedral.
Originally from the Midlands, Michael began his hairdressing career locally before going on to establish himself within the industry for his modern glamour styling, signature hair-up work and red carpet expertise. Throughout his career, he has worked with high-profile names including Ashley James, Pixie Lott and a number of private clients and events across fashion, media and entertainment.
The one-night event, described as a “homecoming” celebration, will bring together local hairdressers, former mentors, industry professionals and aspiring creatives for an evening of live demonstrations, education and storytelling.
Set against the backdrop of Coventry Cathedral, the masterclass will showcase Michael’s signature approach to polished, wearable glamour while reflecting on the journey that has shaped his two decades in the industry.
Speaking about the event, Michael said:
“This event feels incredibly personal to me. Coventry is where my journey started, so being able to bring this back home after 20 years in the industry feels really special. I wanted it to be more than just a hair show, it’s about celebrating creativity, education and inspiring the next generation coming into the industry.”
