Invite to Mayor of Dudley’s civic carol service
The Mayor of Dudley is inviting residents from across the borough to the civic carol service later this month.
People can join Councillor Pete Lee, Mayor of Dudley, at Holy Trinity, Vicarage Road, Amblecote, for the service on Wednesday December 17 at 6.30pm.
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service will be led by Father Alan Williams. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
Councillor Pete Lee, Mayor of Dudley, said:
“Our civic carol service is a wonderful way to bring family and friends together to celebrate the festive season.
“Everyone is very welcome to join us and I’d like to thank the members of Holy Trinity for welcoming us all.
“On behalf of the Mayoress and I, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas.”
There will also be a collection on the day to raise funds for the Mayor’s charities, which are Alzheimer’s Society, Disability in Action Dudley, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and the Leukaemia Unit Appeal Fund.
The service is free and open to all, but anyone planning to attend is asked to contact the civic office by emailing capa.admin@dudley.gov.uk or calling 01384 811561 by December 10.
Parking is available at the church and also after 6pm at the Health and Social Care Centre, John Corbett Drive, Amblecote, DY8 4JB.
