PURE PADEL ANNOUNCES OPENING OF CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM’S FIRST INDOOR PADEL CLUB
Wednesday 1st October 2025, Birmingham, UK: The UK’s fastest-growing padel club operator Pure Padel, has confirmed the upcoming opening of its latest club – and Central Birmingham’s first indoor facility – which is due to open in January 2026. Pure Padel Birmingham will be located on New Summer Street in the upcoming Jewellery Quarter, just a 10-minute walk from Snow Hill train station, providing excellent accessibility for both local residents and visitors.
Its bustling location with excellent accessibility and footfall will make it Birmingham’s first city centre indoor venue. The news of Pure Padel’s impending opening in the UK’s second city also heralds the true arrival of Birmingham as a padel hub.
In a nod to Birmingham’s rich automotive and car manufacturing history, the state-of-the-art venue will repurpose an old Land Rover Jaguar engineering plant into a stunning padel club, featuring 5 doubles courts and 2 singles courts, along with a vibrant food and beverage space,
social areas, and fully equipped changing rooms. The club will also be an ideal venue for corporate event hire, benefitting from its central location and proximity to Birmingham’s growing business district.
Pure Padel has become a dominant force on the UK sporting scene ever since the opening of its first club in Alderley Park (3 outdoor courts) in October 2023, and featured in The Times’ Ones to Watch feature earlier this year. In the two years since, the company, led by ambitious entrepreneur Sammy Arora, has opened its flagship indoor club in Manchester City Centre, followed by Darlington (7 indoor courts), Stockport (5 indoor courts) and North Leeds (4 outdoor courts). Construction is also in advanced stages with its Nottingham venue (opening in October) and Lightwater (opening in February 2026). By the end of 2025, the company’s rapid growth will take Pure Padel to a 33-court padel operator and on the verge of becoming the largest operator in the UK. Further to this, planning is also approved for additional clubs in Solihull, Gosforth, York and Glasgow, with all four locations expected to open by June 2026.
With accessibility at Pure Padel’s core, matches will be on a ‘pay to play’ basis allowing players of all abilities to book and play via the Playtomic app from 7am right through to 10pm. Through its ‘Open Matches’ tool, the app enables padel matchmaking by allowing first time or solo players to find and play with others of a similar level, matching them accordingly for a fun and fair game. With no member fees, Pure Padel enables players to play as much or as little as they choose without the constraints of the traditional sports club model.
Pure Padel’s soon to be launched Birmingham site has already gained interest from corporate partners and is available for further highly attractive sponsorship and events opportunities for the business community and beyond. Players can also now sign up for early bird access to the
Birmingham site, securing their chance to be among the first to experience this exciting new venue.
Padel coaches will be available for coaching to all levels from beginners to intermediate and even advanced as Pure Padel recognises the UK’s appetite for the sport from both new and experienced players.
Pure Padel has demonstrated its success and ambition through its more than 13,000 players and status as the leading operator in the Midlands and North. The ambitious business has plans to build another 30 padel clubs in the UK over the next five years. The Midlands, the North East
and the South West of London are among the business’ target regions, as well as further expansion across its home county of Cheshire.
Pure Padel is equipped with backing from a strong selection of non-exec board members from retail, property, finance and law and have accumulated various sources of investment.
