Local charity’s café celebrated as finalist in top Tourism Award

Specialist palliative and bereavement support provider, Compton Care, is excited to share that its Crumbles Coffee House is a finalist for ‘Café/Coffee Shop of the Year’ in the prestigious West Midlands Tourism Awards 2026.

Located at the charity’s Compton Hall site, Crumbles is a vibrant café offering high-quality, reasonably priced food in a warm and welcoming setting.

A firm favourite among hospice visitors and the local community, Crumbles is also a popular stop-off for walkers, cyclists, and canal boaters exploring the nearby nature reserve and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.

Tom Keen, Compton Care’s Catering Services Manager, shared: “We’re delighted to be a finalist in these awards and to be recognised alongside so many other amazing businesses. It’s a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the West Midlands as a great place to visit.”

Now in their sixth year, the West Midlands Tourism Awards celebrate the region’s best accommodation; business, cultural and sporting event venues; food and drink settings; and visitor and heritage attractions. They are organised and funded by the West Midlands Growth Company, which leads the region’s Destination Development Partnership.

Crumbles has recently launched its new menu, which includes delicious autumnal treats such as Yorkshire Pudding wraps, hearty soups and tasty pies alongside regular favourites.

The cafe is open Monday to Saturday, 8am – 4pm. Every purchase helps raise vital funds to support Compton Care’s specialist services for people living with life limiting conditions and their families.
